Kristen

Kristen came to Hicks Family Online in late 2004.  HFO was struggling to maintain daily blogging capabilities and Kristen blindly came to the aid of HFO President Kevin Hicks.  With no compensation, reason, or added benefit, Kristen started off by giving free advice on HFO, and quickly became one of HFO’s main writers.  She has since furthered her career by writing articles for “real” publications, and has successfully completed her MBA.  Kristen and her long time sweetie Nick, got married in April of 2009 on the strip in Vegas.  Nick recently accepted a coaching position with Campbell University Coaching Staff, and they moved to North Carolina, we are all very proud and excited for them.  Kristen and Kevin’s friendship is battle tested having been through various instances of false accusations, sheer stupidity, and unwarranted jealousy from within the HFO compound.  With those negative influences removed, HFO is so very proud to welcome Kristen to the NEW HFO, and look forward to her many contributions.  Feel free to click her picture to bring up her HFO input.

Emma Rhodes

Emma is HFO’s most recent addition to the writing team.  Emma heard about HFO after she moved to Chicago about six years ago.  During that time period, her application to HFO was denied due to impending collapse of the HFO empire.  After HFO began to climb back up the proverbial mountain, Emma began to reach out to HFO President Kevin Hicks for a “lifetime opportunity” chance at writing for Hicks Family Online.  Due to the lack of experience in Emma’s “field” on HFO, she was welcomed with open arms.  Although Emma’s field could be aptly defined as “single white female” she will cover a variety of topics on HFO.  Hopefully her stories and opinions will register with the population of other single white females.  Men, watch out, this one is feisty, quick witted, and opinionated.  Please click on her picture to view her submissions.

Kurt

Kurt, our own resident Jack Ass of the Week Specialist, has been a mainstay in the HFO Dynasty long before it was a gleam in the President’s eye.  Kurt and Kevin’s friendship was fostered at Lone Star Steakhouse in Lafayette, IN in the summer of 1998.  It has withstood Kurt’s long overseas adventure to Japan, serving in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and several trips overseas.  Kurt is currently stationed in Bahrain on the USS Whirlwind where is the CO with the PC Crew GOLF.  His accomplishments along those lines are too numerous to count, and the entire world wide web couldn’t contain his ego if we list them here.  Kurt will bless the new HFO with his quick wit, sarcasm, and intelligence.  You can view his accomplishments by clicking on his picture.

Bill

Although Bill has known HFO President Kevin Hicks longer than any other member of the cast and crew, he is the newest addition to the HFO staff.  Towards the end of HFO’s run in the early days, Bill was writing remotely from Pittsburgh, PA where he was a stay at home dad.  Bill is back in the motherland of Lafayette, IN and has new adventures to share with the HFO Community.  Although Kevin and Bill’s friendship was fostered long before HFO’s run of domination, it has become rock solid over the past several months as these two men have quietly gone about their daily routines as single fathers trying to make their way through this life.  Its a unique perspective from someone with a unique life.  Although most of the stories that Kevin and Bill share can’t be told on this domain, or any other domain for that matter, rest assured that Bill’s input to HFO will be welcomed and appreciated.  You can view his contributions by clicking on his picture.

Davek aka The Gridiron Tuna

The Gridiron Tuna is a recent addition to the HFO Crew.  You can hear from the tuna every Tuesday after a Purdue football game to hear his thoughts on Purdue’s most recent game.  Tuna comes to us from Gold and Black Illustrated (Goldandblack.com) where he was BANISHED from their message boards for having an opinion.  He offended too many people and was sent packing (a few times) HFO is honored to have this football genius know-it-all writing for us.  The Tuna has an opinion, and we’re going to give him an outlet to express that opinion.  You can view the Tuna’s contributions by clicking on his picture!
